Integral to Compass is INFICON's patented heated diode sensor technology, delivering outstanding sensitivity to all refrigerants yet resisting jobsite contaminants such as dirt, dust and oil. Compass uses rechargeable NiMh batteries and can also operate on AC power (adapter included). It has an ergonomic design with a rubberized grip that fits your hand perfectly for comfortable operation. A string of yellow LED's and an audible alarm indicate leak size. A power indicator shows when the batteries are low and need to be recharged. Auto background zeroing helps user pinpoint leaks. With slightly better sensitivity and rechargeable batteries, the Compass is a nice line addition to the very popular TEK-Mate leak detector, which uses the same heated diode sensor.
